Predominantly shaded sand and red-mud hard-pack singletrack, some gravel and broken tarmac sections. Wicked downhill at the end.

Bamboo and coconut groves, rice paddies and rice growing and stone-carving communities. Remains of water-palace at Jungutan (for lunch), remote ridge-top paths with views down to the coast and across Amuk bay to the islands of Nusa Penida and Lombok.

Mix of hard-pack and gravel Jeep track, narrow hardpack singletrack, bamboo grove trails, small broken tarmac roads, red-mud singletrack with short rocky/gravel sections.

Mountain farming communities growing flowers and vegetables, 1 rock quarry, stone-carving villages, salak fruit plantations, bamboo and coconut groves, rice terraces, coastal and mountain views from ridge-top paths. Fantastic beach finish.

Can cut-out last section of singletrack (on the bug-bug ridge) and head straight to the beach on tarmac roads, or alternatively choose to descend down the Ulukan ridge which is shorter and slightly more technical (reduces ride to 30 km)
